Ontario PNP Mandamus Application

Case Background:

In March 2021, the applicant submitted a federal immigration application through another agency. Due to the agency's negligence, the case experienced a two-year wait and only entered the background check stage in February 2023. To expedite the process, the applicant sought our assistance in 2023. Despite contacting a Member of Parliament twice, in May and January of the following year, no progress was made. Finally, with our help, the applicant submitted a mandamus application in April this year, and within a month, the background check was completed, advancing to the next stage of the application.

Application Timeline:

  • March 2021: PNP application submitted.

  • February 2023: Entered background check stage.

  • May 2023: Contacted a Member of Parliament due to slow progress.

  • Through the information provided by the Member of Parliament, it was discovered that the medical examination had expired, and a new medical examination was conducted.

  • January 2024: Application still showed no progress; contacted the Member of Parliament again, who replied that the application was still under review.
