Open Work Permit for Hong Kong Residents:

  • Eligibility: Hong Kong residents who are graduates from a post-secondary learning institution within the last five years.

  • Validity: The open work permit is valid for up to three years.

Permanent Residence Pathways

  • Stream A: In-Canada Graduates

    • Eligibility: Hong Kong residents who have graduated from a post-secondary institution in Canada within the last three years.

    • Additional Criteria: Must have a valid temporary resident status in Canada.

    • Education Requirement: Must hold a post-secondary diploma or degree from Canada or abroad, which must be equivalent to a Canadian credential.

    • Language Proficiency: Must meet the minimum language proficiency requirements (Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5).
