Super Visa
A Super Visa is a special type of visa that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit Canada for extended periods. It is a multiple-entry visa valid for up to 10 years and allows for stays of up to 2 years at a time without the need to renew their status.
Required Documents:
Application Forms
IMM 5257: Application for a Temporary Resident Visa.
IMM 5707: Family Information Form.
IMM 5645: Family Information Form (if applicable).
Passport and Travel Documents
Valid passport with at least one blank page.
Copies of the biographical page and any pages with stamps, visas, or markings.
Photographs
Two passport-sized photos (35mm x 55mm)
Proof of Relationship
Proof that you are the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (e.g., birth certificates, baptismal certificates).
Invitation Letter
A letter of invitation from your child or grandchild, including their full name, contact information, and details about their household.
Proof of Financial Support
Your child or grandchild’s income must meet or exceed the low-income cut-off (LICO). Provide:
Most recent copy of the Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1.
Letter from employer stating their job title, job description, and salary.
Employment insurance stubs.
Proof of other sources of income (e.g., pension statement, investments).
Medical Insurance
Proof of medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company covering at least $100,000 for healthcare, hospitalization, and repatriation, valid for a minimum of 1 year from the date of entry.
Proof of Payment
Proof that the medical insurance premium has been paid in full.
Additional Documents
Police clearance certificate.
Medical exam report (if required).
